Giants

Land of the

Pemberton, Western Australia is a town steeped in logging history. Where the trees are the centre of town life and share a special place in the hearts of many, including the thousands of tourists that walk the karri forest trails every year.

The Brief

The brief was to create an identity for Pemberton Walking Tours that could appeal to a broad target audience. I wanted to begin forming strong associations with the beloved Karri Gum Trees that have put the town on the map. Drawing inspiration from watercolour paintings, I used Sketch and the Apple Pencil to create a leaf that showed all the beautiful colours that gum leaves can display in their lifecycle and the beauty in the imperfections of life.
